A ce jour, le Népal commence à nouveau à célébrer ses festivals. Ce dernier mois, appelé "POUSH" (allant de mi-décembre à mi-janvier), est considéré comme étant un mois impie, durant lequel les cérémonies religieuses sont interdites.

In the first week of November, QOLN organized a winter clothes and shoes distribution program for the Nepal Child Plan (NCP) sponsored kids and the Day Care Centre (DCC) kids.
Winter started early this year. From the 11th of November we suddenly had cloudy, rainy weather and the temperature dropped by 10 degrees.
At the moment we have 70 children sponsored in our Nepal Child Plan.

I am just back from Belgium and I went to Sarangkot this week to have a look at the progress of the new building of the Day care centre.
In the beginning of July they started to make the foundation. This means they make pillars from steel and put stones around the end and make it fit together with cement.
Only after this they will start with the walls! So this is a different way of working then in the west.
Quality of Life Nepal est une association qui repose sur l’aide étrangère. Les fonds sont récoltés en Belgique par GLOBAL CHILD WELFARE (fondé en 1997 par Sabine Molemans) et QUALITY OF LIFE WORLD (fondé en 2000 par Ludo Verstraete).
L’initiatrice du programme Global Child Welfare, Lut Verlinden et son époux Tony, parrainaient déjà depuis 2001 un enfant Avijit Pariyar. Ils cherchaient une possibilité d’aider sa famille d’une autre manière.
La plupart des hommes de Sarangkot étaient musiciens, maintenant ils travaillent aux champs ou sont devenus tailleurs.
Dans le passé, il y avait un groupe de 5 musiciens appelé “Panche Baja”, mais le nouveau groupe s’appelle “Naumati Baja” et compte 9 membres.
“Observer les lettres prendre une signification”
Les classes d’alphabétisation pour adultes donnent aux mères l’opportunité d’apprendre à lire et à écrire. Les parents ne pourront donner à leurs enfants une bonne formation de base et les comprendre que s’ils peuvent eux-même lire et écrire. Dans la plupart des cas c’est la mère qui est analphabète.
Nepal Child Plan est un programme de parrainage pour les enfants de Sarangkot. Ce programme a commencé en 2002 avec la participation de Quality of Life World.
