Start foundation building Daycare centre
Namasté,
I am just back from Belgium and I went to Sarangkot this week to have a look at the progress of the new building of the Day care centre.
In the beginning of July they started to make the foundation. This means they make pillars from steel and put stones around the end and make it fit together with cement.
Only after this they will start with the walls! So this is a different way of working then in the west.
These days most people are working on their rice fields. In the villages everybody is helping each other, because the rice has to be planted in this season. Because they eat rice twice a day, this is very important for them.
There wasn’t enough rain this year, so there is shortage of water. Rice needs to stands with its feet in the water!
Thanks to our water project earlier this year, the building site is provided with water.
In the last 3 weeks (from end of June till half of July) all schools in the village have summer holiday. Most kids are helping on the fields to plant the rice.
Thank you very much for your support
