QUALITY OF LIFE NEPAL is a small organisation which relies on foreign support. Funds are raised in Belgium by GLOBAL CHILD WELFARE (founded in 1997 by Sabine Molemans) and QUALITY OF LIFE WORLD (founded in 2000 by Ludo Verstraete).
Both organisations are looking for donations, actions and sponsors.

Global Child Welfare also operates via schools which raise funds during fasting periods.  In this way also Belgian children contribute to the improvement of the standard of living of Nepalese children.

We are still looking for people who want to sponsor a child from our Nepal Child Plan, or who want to sponsor a buffalo, or who want to support any of our future school or water projects.

Funds are, of course, extremely welcome.  From Belgium and neighbouring countries remittances can be made to the account number 230-0245222-26 of Global Child Welfare.  Twice or three times a year GCW transfers a sum to QOLN, thus reducing the expenses.  GLW cannot issue tax certificates.  Although QOLN is a recognized NGO and GCW is a recognized Non-Profit Organisation our projects are no yet qualified for tax reduction.

Our projects in Nepal are open to the public.  Many of our sponsors have visited them already.  So, if you would like to visit them, the best thing to do is to contact Sabine Molemans.
The headquarters of QOLN is based in Pokhara, in the BLUE PLANET LODGE (http://www.blueplanetlodge.com), the Guest House Sabine and Ram started up in 2000.  It is an excellent place to stay.  They also organises trekkings in the Annapurna and Everest, rafting on the wildest rivers in the world, jungle safaris in the south of Nepal, paragliding and daytrips. You can get a lot of information on cultural events and on the social and political issues in the country.
